Host country of 2019 is official!

30. July 2018

At the 29th Symposium on Fine Food + Drink, Flanders will take participants on a culinary journey to northern Belgium. The Flemish have been known as epicureans for centuries; good food and drink are central to their regional identity. As the birthplace of French fries and, believe it or not, over 1,150 types of beer, the northernmost region of the Kingdom of Belgium is well known for its hearty delicacies. The Flemish North Sea coast, on the other hand, offers light, digestible enjoyment: Fish and seafood will spoil your palate. For lovers of sweet taste, this culinary landscape is known for fine chocolate and delicately melting pralines. Flanders also has a dynamic restaurant scene. From award-winning star cuisine to young rebels behind the stove, who make a name for themselves with zero-waste concepts, Flemish cuisine offers a multi-faceted variety of good and extraordinary flavours. The Flemish exhibitors will bring the wealth of their native food industry to Munich for two days. The 29th Symposium on Fine Food + Drink will take place on 9 and 10 May 2019 in the Kulturhalle Zenith.
